I We now have two full size Prunty Pitches that should ensure the future of Gaelic football in Corduff for generations to come. Lighting around the training pitch is in place and the foundation of the running track has been laid.

The extended terracing means we can now cater for up to 4,000 spectators and we look forward to hosting some major fixtures in the not too distant future.

CLUB NOTES 2nd December 2005

Dr. Ward Cup Final: Congratulations to Corduff and Drumhowan on producing a cracker of a final in Aughnamullen last Sunday. This local derby was always going to be a keenly contested affair with the sides having met earlier in the year and it lived up to expectations. Corduff dominated the opening exchanges but several chances went astray before George Mc Kitterick opened the scoring from play on fifteen minutes. While Corduff continued to dominate the play, scores were few and far between and the half time whistle saw Corduff ahead by just a single point 0-4 to 0-3. Drumhowan got off to a flying start in the second half with a James Mc Elroy goal in the opening minute and maintained the pressure for the opening ten minutes. A brilliant point from half back Shane Mc Nally narrowed the margin before George Mc Kitterick hit a purple patch with four unanswered classic points which brought the score to 0-10 to 1-4 and Corduff seemed to have a comfortable margin. However a Steven Mc Ginnity goal drew it level again for Drumhowan. Moments later Declan Larkin blasted into the Drumhowan net and restored the lead. It was all to play for in the final ten minutes and Drumhowan had their chances but a solid defense, strong attacking runs and superior fitness saw Corduff through in a pulsating finish on a final scoreline of Corduff 1-12 Drumhowan 2-6.
