Season's Greetings: Wishing all our members, players and supporters at home and abroad a happy and prosperous New Year. A.G.M: A large crowd attended the annual general meeting which was held in Cunningham's Loft on Nov. 13th. The chairman in his opening address congratulated the team and management on their dedication and commitment throughout a very long year and their promotion to Intermediate ranks. He went on to deliver a comprehensive report as did the secretary and treasurer. As always, finances continue to be a problem and all were called upon for a renewed effort with the weekly Alotto which is the club's main income. Chairman of The Development Committee, Seamus Mc Enaney gave an updated account of work on the new fields, stating that fencing of the main pitch was ready to commence and invited all to view the work to date. Election of officers for 2006 then took place. Annual Awards: Player of The Year: Paddy Mc Mahon, Clubperson of The Year: Eileen Keenan. Dinner Dance: To celebrate the club's achievements in 2005, a dinner dance and presentation of medals will take place in the Fiddler's Elbow on Friday January 27th. More details later. Condolence: The club extends sincere sympathy to Philomena Hanratty, Greagh on the recent death of her brother Jim in Australia. May he rest in peace. CLUB NOTES 13th January 2006 Dinner Dance: Keep free Friday January 27th for the club's Dinner Dance and presentation of Dr. Ward Cup medals which will be held in The Fiddlers. Tickets available from any committee member. CLUB NOTES 20th January 2006 Dinner Dance: Tickets are now available from any committee member for the Dinner Dance and Presentation of Dr. Ward Cup medals on Friday next Jan 27th. Dinner will be served at 8.30 pm. and music is by Last Word. Subscription €25. Reilly's Cross: With the playing season about to get underway all team managers are requested to contact the secretary regarding training at Reilly's Cross. Please state in writing your preferred evenings/times for training in order to avoid any clashes with other teams as happened on a number of occasions last year. Alotto: The weekly Alotto returned this week with a jackpot of €4,800. There was no winner. Numbers drawn were 7, 10, 14 and 24.
