CLUB NOTES 3rd March 2006

Fixtures: The Junior B's Begin their league campaign on Saturday when they meet Clontibret at 1.00 pm.

Gala Ball: Once again this year's Gala Ball was a great success. Many thanks to all who contributed to this event. Special thanks to compere Adrian Logan who entertained the crowd in his usual inimitable way, Bernie Murray and Cathal O Rourke who contributed to the lively discussion. Sincere thanks to all who contributed items for auction and lively bidding on all items again ensured it was not only entertaining but financially rewarding. Congratulations to all prize winners on the night Margaret Traynor, Aileen Moen and Claire Mc Enaney. All  monies raised go towards our ongoing development which is progressing nicely and should be completed later this year.

Training Courses: A training programme on Child Protection will be held in St. Macartan's College on Friday March 10th from 7.00 pm - 9.30 pm. and a Foundation Level Coaching course will take place on March 11th from 9.30 am - 4.30 pm. These courses are mandatory for anyone who will be involved in coaching/mentoring juvenile teams.

Fixtures: Last Saturday's Reserve League fixture against Clontibret was called off following a pitch inspection. We meet Killeevan on Sunday at 12.00 pm. Venue TBA.

Training: Training for U-13's, 14's and 15's this evening (Thursday) at Reilly's Cross at 6.00 pm. This group had their first outing last Sunday morning with a challenge in Donaghmoyne which proved very worthwhile.

Condolences: A vote of sympathy was passed at last week's meeting with the King family Owery, on the death of Ann's sister Elizabeth Mullen, Skerries and the Connolly family Corkishbane on the death of James Gerathy, Shercock. May they rest in peace.
