Condolence: We extend sincere sympathy to the King family, Owery on the death of John King on Saturday September 2nd. The late John not only played for the club but was also the father of three players on the senior team, Gareth who is team captain, Louis and Sean. To John's wife Ann and daughters Caroline and Fiona we also express heartfelt sympathy. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam.As a mark of respect to the King family all club activities were suspended for the weekend.

Championship: The championship game against Sean Mac Diarmada will now take place on Sunday next in Tyholland at 2.00pm.

Development: Last Monday's development meeting has been re-scheduled for Monday next in the clubrooms at 9.00pm.

As a mark of respect to the King family all club activities were suspended for weekend and a minute's silence was observed at the championship match last Sunday.

Championship: Despite a lack-lustre start and only registering four points in the first half, the team came out with all guns blazing for the second half and within ten minutes had established a lead they were never to lose.The championship semi-final against Monaghan Harps takes place on Saturday next Sept 16th. in Clontibret at 6.00 pm. Good luck to the team and management.

Development: Due to increased interest the closing date for sponsorship of the new scoreboard has been extended. Closing offers must be with Seamus Mc Enaney by September 25th.

Juveniles: The U-15 league begins on Sunday 24th at 12.30pm.

Training: Training for boys aged 8-12 continues on Thursday evenings from 6.00pm-7.00pm. U-15 training from 7.00pm - 8.00pm.

Minors: Well done to the Corduff/Carrick combination, Farney Gaels who beat Na Fianna last week and progress on to play Monaghan Harps in the semi-final.

Visitors: The club played host to a South Kildare selection over the weekend. Players and parents spent a very enjoyable weekend in Carrickmacross and played Magheracloone on Saturday and Corduff on Sunday.

Sympathy: Once again the club is bereaved by the death of a former player. We extend sincere sympathy to the Monaghan family, Rahans, on the death of James Monaghan. The late James was an uncle of current player Fran Monaghan. Ar Dheis De go raibh a anam.

Championship: A two point defeat by Monaghan Harps signalled our exit from the Championship last Sunday. A much less than par performance meant that despite a one point lead in the twenty second minute meant we were unable to capitalise on that lead and lost out to a stronger team. See report elsewhere.

League: Our next outing in the league is away to Sean Mac Diarmada on Sunday at 12.30pm.
