Championship: We have a bye in the next round of the Championship. Intermediate Football League: Last Sunday we took on Drumhowan in Corduff. Drumhowan raised the white flag first. After Shane Mc Nally Jnr equalised Martin Mills rattled the back of the Drumhowan net in the 5th minute. The scores were eventually matched until half time. Corduff scorers were Louis King, Declan Larkin and Pauric Gollogly. Half Time Score Corduff 1-04 Drumhowan 0-05. Corduff started slow in the second half and by the 13th minute Drumhowan had put themselves a point ahead. With some hard work from Colm Marron, Shane Mc Nally and unsung Hero Fran Monaghan Corduff fought their way back and scored their first point of the second half in the 21st minute. The fight back was on and When Ray Byrne Scored a goal with 2 minutes to go it was complete. Despite some hard pushing forward from Drumhowan in extra time we held on. Final Score Corduff 2-05 Drumhowan 0-08. Reserve Football League: Last Wednesday we traveled to Aghabog. Corduff always had their noses in front of this game. This was due to some good point taking from Michael Fox, Colm Marron, Pauric Gollogly, Shane Mc Nally, and the goal chances that we took with Shane Mc Nally Snr registering 2 and Shane Mc Nally Jnr hitting the back of the net in the front half. Half time Score Corduff 3-08 Aghabog 1-04. Aghabog started a comeback in the second half but due to some fine saves from Peter Mc Gardle they were held. Corduff then pressed and extended their lead when Darren Mc Glone Scored Corduff forth goal. Final Score Corduff 4-13 Aghabog 2-08. Upcoming Fixture: This Sunday we take on Aghabog away throw in 12.30.This is an important game for our team so please come along and be the teams 16th man. Aghabog leveled minutes later before Raymond Byrne added 2 points both from frees, the second coming after Louis King was fouled on the 45 yard line. Two good points from Pauric Gollogly and Shane Connolly extended Corduff's lead before Aghabog pulled back 2 points from frees. Corduff ended the half on a high with a hard working point from Martin Mills. Half Time Score: Corduff 0-06 Aghabog 0-03. We started the second half slowly with some hard work from Raymond Byrne, Martin Mills and Shane Connolly. Despite some fantastic defending from Gerry Mee, Paddy Mc Mahon and Ciaran Brennan, Aghabog scored the first point in the second Half. Pauric Gollogy and Raymond Byrne maintained Corduff's lead with Corduff's first points of the second half, Pauric's coming from a cleverly worked 45 with Raymond Byrne. Aghabog pulled back a point before Mark Gilseain scored a point from a free. Corduff next point came from great teamwork with Raymond Byrne hitting in the ball to Martin Mills who flicked it on to Shane Mc Nally Snr run and he supplied a great finish to match the great play. From the resulting kick out Declan Larkin caught the ball and took a surprising shot and it went straight over the black spot. Aghabog tightened the gap with a point in the 24th and 25th minute. Corduff saved the best point to last when Shane Connolly in an impossible angle scored a fantastic point. Aghabog added 2 points before the end.
