Pairc Gaelacht Corr Dubh

 We now have two full size Prunty Pitches that should ensure the future of Gaelic football in Corduff for generations to come. Lighting around the training pitch is in place and the foundation of the running track has been laid.

The extended terracing means we can now cater for up to 4,000 spectators and we look forward to hosting some major fixtures in the not too distant future.

Social Night :The end of year social and presentation night took place last night Wednesday, in the mountain Dew. Report Next week
 
Alotto: Is now on a break until after Christmas, the next draw will take place on Monday 14th January with a Jackpot of 9,500.

 
Christmas Gift: Don't know what to buy some one this Christmas, What about a yearly lotto ticket, this person would then be entered into the draw every week for 52 weeks starting on Monday 14th January when the Jackpot is 9,500.Contact any committee member for more details.

           Friday 14th December

Club Of The Year: Last Thursday night at the County Convention Corduff was named Club of the year. This a great achievement and is due to all the hard work from many people over the last number of years. We will be presented with the award at the County Awards night in January. More details later.

AGM: The A.G.M was held on Wednesday 28th November. It was attended by over 60 people one of the largest in years. Seamus Mc Enaney as Chairman opened the meeting by welcoming everyone.Maureen Campbell then gave a very detailed Secretary report which outlined the successes of all teams. This was followed by the Chairman's address in which he thanked everyone that helped throughout the year including Team Mentors, Players, Committee,stewards and lotto Sellers. The Treasures report was then explained. It was then time for the election of officiers. Chairman: Seamus Mc Enaney, Assistant Chairman: John Mc Menamin, Secretary: Maureen Campbell, Assistant Secretary: Maura Mc Nally, Treasurer: Eileen Keenan, Assistant Treasurer Padraig Mc Enaney, Youth Officer: Maureen Campbell, P.R.O: Karen Keenan. It was then awards time with Martin Mills receiving Player Of The Year and Eithne Malone receiving Club Person Of The Year. Afterwards refreshments were served in the Mountain Dew by Barbara.

Thanks: To all the stewards that helped out at the three games last week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Deepest Sympathy: To John Connolly Chairman of Monaghan County Board and his family on the death of his father Willie Connolly.

Thanks: I would like to thank Sean Mc Kenna (Outgoing Co. P.R.O) for all his help And advice throughout the last year.
