Pairc Gaelacht Corr Dubh

We now have two full size Prunty Pitches that should ensure the future of Gaelic football in Corduff for generations to come. Lighting around the training pitch is in place and the foundation of the running track has been laid.

The extended terracing means we can now cater for up to 4,000 spectators and we look forward to hosting some major fixtures in the not too distant future.

Reserve Football Championship: Last Sunday we played Emyvale in the final of the Crawley Cup, played in very foggy conditions Emyvale took the lead in the 1st minute Corduff did level the scoring with a free from Brendan Mc Nally before Emyvale hit the back of the net in the 7th minute, the sides were level again in the 19th minute after points from Niall Reilly, Shane Mc Nally and two Brendan Mc Nally frees. Corduff Backs rallied hard in the closing ten minutes with great work from Pauric Connolly, Alan Mee, Ciaran Malone and Paddy Mc Mahon. In the 23rd minute Corduff went ahead with a point from Ben Woods following a ball from Mickey Mc Dermott and hard work by Cathal Connolly and Aidan Ward. Corduff ended the scoring for the half after Lee Mc Gardle and Aidan Marron combined. Half time Score Corduff 0-07 Emyvale 1-02. Corduff opened the scoring in the second half after Pauric Gollogly and Aidan Marron combined and Mickey Mc Dermott supplied the finish. Brendan Mc Nally went on to score two points for Corduff in the 6th and 7th minutes the latter coming after some great work from Aidan Ward and Pauric Gollogly. Emyvale pulled points back in the 9th, 11th and 17th minutes, leaving the score line Corduff 0-10 Emyvale 1-05 the gap could of been closer only for some great defending from the Corduff Backs. Emyvale were awarded a penalty in the 20th minute but Corduff goalie Peter Mc Garell pulled off a brilliant save, leaving the gap at two. Corduff rallied hard and responded quick when substitutes Keith Mc Enaney, Brendan Kerley and Shane Connolly combined , resulting in a Shane Connolly ball that Shane Mc Nally slotted over the bar for his second point of the day. Corduff ended the scoring in the 26th minute. Final Score Corduff 1-11 Emyvale 1-05
