Pairc Gaelacht Corr Dubh

 We now have two full size Prunty Pitches that should ensure the future of Gaelic football in Corduff for generations to come. Lighting around the training pitch is in place and the foundation of the running track has been laid.

The extended terracing means we can now cater for up to 4,000 spectators and we look forward to hosting some major fixtures in the not too distant future.

Monster 25 Card Drive: The Corduff club is delighted to announce that heats are currently taking place for our Monster 25 Card drive. Heats are being run in the locality and surrounding areas in the coming week and the winners of the heats play in the grand final on Sunday 14th March in Corduff Raferagh Community Centre were there will be €7500 in prizes to be won. Or individuals can buy tickets for the Grand Final at a cost of €140 from any committee member and anyone who would like to host a heat please contact Padraig Mc Enaney 0872987262

 Juvenile Registration Night: The Corduff club has organised a registration evening on Tuesday 2nd March. This evening is necessary as all players from Under 16,14,12,10 and under 8’s. All players have to be registered to train and play games for insurance reasons. It will be necessary for all our young players U-16 downwards to be accompanied by a parent/guardian to ensure all required signatures are obtained. It is also important that managers and mentors are aware of medical conditions.  Juvenile membership will also be payable on that evening. Membership fees which include insurance costs for 2010 are €10 for the first child and €5 per subsequent child. All players and parents are asked to attend on Tuesday 2nd March in the dressing rooms between 8pm to 9pm.

 Junior Football League: We begin  our campaign on Wednesday 31st at home to Blackhill

Reserve Football League: On Saturday 6th March we open our campaign against Clones at home with throw in at 4pm. Then on Sunday March 14th we take on Cremartin away at 3pm.On Saturday the 20th March we then travel to Tyholland for a game at 4pm. We finish the month on Saturday 27th at home to neighbours Donaghmoyne.

Underage Fixtures: Our Under 12 team starts their campaign on 20th March, our Under 14 team starts on 10th April and our Under 16 kicks off on 1st April.

Sincere Sympath: The Corduff Club would like to express sincere sympathy to The Traynor Family on the Death of Fergus Mother  Mary

Help Needed: Corduff GAA relies on the generosity of parents, players and members, this is going to be a challenging year for everyone, but our aim is to provide the best standard of service we can in our magnificent facilities. The only way we can do this is through our Club lotto, this is the main source of finance for the day to day running of the club, and its helps buy the footballs, bibs, water bottles and the upkeep of our brilliant facilities that all our members and players use. Help is currently needed with selling tickets within the area and selling tickets in Carrickmacross. If anyone is willing to help please contact Mary Woods on 0872871006

Speedy Recovery: A speedy recovery to Blain Mc Enaney one of our under 16 stars who was recently injured.

Support Your Club: Vodafone have teamed up with the GAA to introduce a support your Club Scheme.  Current Vodafone customers can sign up and the Corduff Club will receive 5% of your bill or top up from Vodafone at no extra cost to you.  Non Vodafone customers can sign up to switch to Vodafone and the club will also receive 5% of your bill or top up from Vodafone at no extra cost to you. To sign up and help your Club at no extra cost to you please contact Karen Keenan on 0879050707, or email your name and number to karenkeenan07@hotmail.com.

Membership: Membership is now due for 2010. It is particularly important for all players to register early as they will not be covered for insurance unless they are registered members. Anyone wishing to renew or become a new member please contact any committee member for a membership form.

Ladies.

Committee: The 2010 Season is upon us and the New Corduff Ladies Committee is now in place. The following officers have been elected : Chairperson Conor Comiskey, Vice Chairperson Mary Callan, Secretary Mary Mc Eneaney, Assistant Secretary Loretta Sheridan, Treasurer Bernice Mc Nally, Assistant Treasurer Ann Brennan, Children’s Officer Mary Woods, Co. Board Delegates Gerry Reilly and Paraic Ruth and PRO’s Laura Mc Enaney and Amy Treanor. A sincere thank you to the outgoing committee for their hard work and commitment during the past year and good luck to the new committee.

Sincere Sympathy: The Club would like to express its deepest sympathy to Ann Treanor and family on the recent death of her  Mother in law Mary Treanor.

Registration: Membership for 2010 is now due. All players, team managers and committee members must be registered members of the association.

Speedy Recovery: Get well wishes for a speedy recovery to Louise Byrne who recently underwent surgery.

Senior Training-   Its that time of year again- Reserect those football boots Ladies. Senior training starts back Wednesday @ 7pm sharp. All players must attend. New players more than welcome.
