We now have two full size Prunty Pitches that should ensure the future of Gaelic football in Corduff for generations to come. Lighting around the training pitch is in place and the foundation of the running track has been laid.

The extended terracing means we can now cater for up to 4,000 spectators and we look forward to hosting some major fixtures in the not too distant future.

Brendan Mc Nally pulled back two points before the break both coming from a free after hard work from Stephen Farrelly and Cathal Mc Enaney. Killanny went in leading by 5 points. Corduff management half time talk must have worked as within the opening seconds after Jason Hand and Blain Mc Enaney got their hands to the throw in and a ball to Padraic Keenan, Ben woods connected and hit the back of the Corduff net. Under 10 Training: Training continues this Saturday at 11am.

Under 8 Training: Training continues this Saturday at 10am in Corduff.

Corduff Ladies:

Senior Ladies: On Saturday last Corduff Senior Ladies played Aghabog in the Division 1B Final in Latton. Conditions were far from ideal but both teams played some brilliant football. Aghabog, the eventual winners could only breathe a sigh of relief when the final whistle blew as the Corduff girls showed pure grit and determination and pushed them right to the end. Disappointment is always a bitter pill to swallow but these girls can hold their heads high and be proud of what they have achieved this season. The journey to a final is never easy and Corduff convincingly defeated Magheracloone and Donaghmoyne to rightfully earn their place in the final.

Guiding this dedicated bunch of girls was the dynamic duo of Manager Sean Rafferty and trainer Martin Mills. They both put in a tremendous effort in terms of commitment and time. They left no stone unturned in the build-up not only to the final but to every match the girls played.

During matches Mary Woods, First Aider, was always ready on the sideline to attend to the girls every need. Also a huge thank you to all the members of the committee who always had everything organised no matter what the circumstances were.

All this takes a huge commitment , so congratulations to everyone involved for treating us to a great summer of football.

Bon Voyage: Best of luck to Francis Patton who will be heading off to Australia in the next couple of weeks. She was a great addition to the Corduff ladies and will be greatly missed by all the girls next year.Bon Voyage Francis!

Good Luck: To the senior men’s team this weekend in the Championship Final

Corduff responded with another free before the break after a defensive splitting from Michael Connolly. In a hard fought second quarter Ballybay controlled most of the proceeding scoring four unanswered points. Ballybay again started the third quarter better with three points before Corduff’s Gavin Mc Enaney responded with a point after a good run by Colm Lowndes and good work by Killian Hand, and Richard Sheridan. What a Monday: Last Monday was a great night for the Corduff Club first our under 14 kicked off at 6.45 when we took on Tyholland in Corduff in the semi final of the Shield.  After entering the final quarter being 3 points down the Corduff’s Management team talk worked and they came out all a different team in the final quarter.  With great defending from our trusty backs and the score power of our classy forwards Corduff went on to run out winners. We now booked our place in the Final; at time of going to press opposition was not known.
