Pairc Gaelacht Corr Dubh

I We now have two full size Prunty Pitches that should ensure the future of Gaelic football in Corduff for generations to come. Lighting around the training pitch is in place and the foundation of the running track has been laid.

The extended terracing means we can now cater for up to 4,000 spectators and we look forward to hosting some major fixtures in the not too distant future.

Up For The Ulster Final: Tonight, Thursday 15th July is the night when Corduff Gaels welcome well know sport analyst to help warm up to this year’s Ulster Final while also commenting on the current GAA issues. Special guests on the night include RTE analyst Colm O Rourke, Joe Kernan former Armagh Manager and current Galway Manger and the Star Analyst Martin Mc Hugh along with many other special guests on the night both past and present. MC on the night will be Adrian Logan UTV Sport Personality. This gives people the chance to hear the opinions of the experts in the lead up to Ulster Final, along with posing questions to the panel and of course having an enjoyable night with plenty of craic. Up for the Ulster final takes place in the Fiddlers Elbow Carrickmacross  tonight Thursday 15th July at 9pm.  Tickets can be purchased from Padraig on 0872987262 ,Walsh’s Newsagents O Neill Street Carrickmacross, John Joes Cunninghams Carrickmacross, The Westerna Hotel Monaghan and the Fiddlers Elbow Carrickmacross or you can pay on the door.

Ulster Senior Medal: Congratulations to Laura Mc Enaney and the Monaghan Ladies team last weekend on a brilliant win to capture the Ulster Senior Ladies Championship.  Well done Laura you have done yourself, your family and the whole of Corduff and Raferagh Proud.

Good Luck: To Seamus and the Monaghan Senior Men team this weekend in the Ulster Final, Hopefully it will be two Ulster titles back in Monaghan next Sunday evening.

Monaghan VHI GAA Cul Camp: For the first time the VHI Cul Camp is coming to Corduff the week of 26th July to 30th July. This is a great opportunity to learn some new skills and also have fun. Football, Hurling and Camogie will be thought at the camp. The camps run from10 am to 2.30 Monday to Friday and they cater for 5-13 years old. Junior Football  League: Last Thursday we travelled to Clones, after a very close encounter throughout the home side came out victorious. See report elsewhere

Reserve Football League: Last Monday we took on Inniskeen in an league encounter after a great Corduff start of registering 0-05 without reply Inniskeen responded with 1-01, but Corduff pushed on and ran out winners.

Gerry’s Fruit and Veg Junior Football League Fixtures: Our next Junior football league game takes place on the 21st when we welcome Oram to Corduff at 8pm. The month ends with away game against Killeevan with an 8pm throw in

Reserve Football League: On Saturday 31st July we travel to Drumhowan for a 7.30 throw in. 

Minor League Fixtures:  On Tuesday 20th we take on Colmcilles at 8pm in the Minor Championship. Then on Tuesday the 27th we take on St. Pats at 8pm

Dr Ward Cup Game Sponsors: The Corduff Club is offering the Chance to sponsor our Dr Ward Cup games. For More Information Contact Patsy Mc Nally. Under 16 League: This evening we take on a strong Killanny side away at 7pm. All support needed to cheer on these stars of the future.  Then on Thursday 22nd July we welcome Truagh to Corduff

Under 8 Training: Well done to everyone who took part in the Blitz in Cloughan last weekend.  Training continues this Saturday at 10am in Corduff.

Under 10 Training: Training continues this Saturday at 11am.

Under 14 League:  Last Tuesday we took on Aughnamullen away, this weekend we welcome Tyholland to Corduff.

Under 12: Last Saturday we were defeated by Killanny, our next game is against Inniskeen on Saturday 24th July

Corduff Ladies:

Senior Ladies: training continues twice a week. For training times contact management. Championship begins this Friday night when the Ladies take on Aghabog in Corduff. The girls have been training hard this past few weeks and would appreciate your support.

U14s,u16s and minor ladies training continues every Tuesday @ 6pm.

Training for all U10s and U12s @7pm every Thursday.

Development training for U6s an U8s every Thursday @ 6pm.

Great Success: A big well done to all the bakers who got their baking trays out last Sunday and contributed to our cake sale your effort was greatly appreciated and it helped make our day a great success. Also thanks to everyone who helped out on the day and all those who came and supported us. We hope you enjoyed your morning. The money raised will go to the everyday running of the club.

Congrats: to Siobhain Brennan who was our competition winner as she guessed the correct score of the Monaghan Ladies Ulster final on the guess the score card. Thanks to all who sold the lines and also to all who bought the lines.  

Well done: to the Monaghan Ladies as they beat Armagh in the Ulster Championship final last Sunday especially to our own Laura Mc Enaney on a brilliant display, Well done Laura  

Best of luck to the Monaghan Men this Sunday in the Ulster Championship Final.
